Each class in the game has access to three unique weapons, referred to as primary, secondary, and melee. Engineers and Spies have additional weapons that take up extra slots. Players choose their weapons and items to create their loadout. Most weapons require ammo, which can either be reserve-based (with a limited clip size and needing reloading) or fully-loaded. Reserve-based weapons can reload in a magazine-style or sequential manner. Reloading can be interrupted but wasted time cannot be recovered. Some weapons don’t require ammo and must be recharged by waiting, using a resupply cabinet, or respawning. A few weapons, like the Medi Gun and the Buff Banner, require manual refills based on specific requirements.
